Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care recognizes the impact of trauma, including adversity caused by implicit bias and structural racism, and integrates protective factors to reduce trauma activation. Recognizing and integrating the lived experiences of clients is fundamental to quality care. This extends to human service providers, whose own experiences influence their work and require consideration by leaders and systems in order to foster resilient organizations.
Behavioral Health Integration
Integrated care optimizes effectiveness and impact. Grounded in the evidence-based science of mind-body connection and data-proven strategies of the patient-centered medical home, we empower organizations to deliver integrated behavioral health care in a range of human service settings. We believe this approach improves client care and boosts staff confidence and satisfaction, contributing to greater resilience overall.
Workforce Resilience
Resilience enables us to bounce back from adversity, but can feel hard when faced with the chronic challenges of human service work and the suffering caused by structural inequities. We believe that individuals are more resilient when they are connected to each other as a team and to the goals of the work. We build spaces of psychological safety where teams can collaborate and connect, and we coach leaders on how to implement structural organizational changes that sustain cultures of resilience.
Change Management
Humans resist change, and the stress placed on human-service organizations too often leads to changes that are delivered haphazardly, reactively, and without buy-in from all voices. Rooting Resilience supports organizations by facilitating change processes that incorporate the neurobiology of survival, make space for all voices, regulate any frictions that arise, and help align teams with a shared mission.
